New bug

I bought this in 2010, and have kept it updated. Suddenly it developed a bug such that tiles that should be selectable cannot be selected. At that point when I select "find a pair" it finds a pair that clearly are not eligible, being completely surrounded. But it does let me select that pair. So frustrating. This started happening within the past two weeks, and I had not updated the app. It happens on two iPads, an original running iOS5 and a newer one running iOS7. The build number is 106. I hop the developers will fix this, because up till now this has been my favorite game.
Quitting the app and restarting does not help, and neither does rebooting the iPad.
